An inspiring evening dedicated to the music and legacy of Felix Mendelssohn invites music lovers to gather for dialogue, listening, and shared experience at “Musical Conversations: Mendelssohn”, taking place on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
The event will be hosted at CVAR – Severis Foundation (Ermou 285, Nicosia 1017), a space closely associated with culture, history and intellectual exchange in the heart of the old city.

The evening brings together distinguished guests from the worlds of culture, academia and heritage. Participating are Joseph Hadjikyriakos, curator of the Stavridis Archive (Larnaca), Demetrios Michailidis, Professor Emeritus of Archaeology at the University of Cyprus, and Costas Severis, President of the Costas and Rita Severis Foundation.
Through selected musical works and open conversation, participants will immerse themselves in Mendelssohn’s artistic world, exploring his music, influence and lasting relevance. The event is designed as a shared experience, encouraging guests to exchange ideas and personal perspectives on music.
Combining musical listening with lively discussion — and accompanied by a glass of wine — the evening promises a warm and relaxed atmosphere where music becomes a living conversation.
The event will be held in English, admission is free, and all those with an interest in music and culture are warmly invited to attend.
